Practitioners' conference stream
A part of the conference is especially organised and designed for people who professionally relate to or work with small enterprises. The special conference stream of successive sessions/workshops - planned to take place on the second day of the conference - will be aimed at sharing:
▪ Concrete experiences from intermediaries and consultants who approach SMEs
▪ Best practise examples from organisations, authorities or even SMEs themselves (owner/manager)
▪ Evaluation of campaigns and interventions
The sessions/workshops will be organised with emphasis on dialogue and sharing of experience. Practitioners and professionals from all lines are therefore invited to submit abstracts, proposals and ideas for short presentations, themes and relevant issues (when using the submission facility on this website, please make a note: 'practitioner stream' - deadline for submission of abstracts 1 March 2009). For inspiration, topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
▪ Understanding small enterprises, their environment and their strategies to survive
▪ Tools, methods and approaches to meet SMEs
▪ Supporting SMEs to develop a healthy business
▪ Integration of health and OHS strategies into the business strategies of SMEs
▪ Approaching SMEs, managers and employees
▪ Giving support and advice to special business sectors and specific groups
All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by a review group consisting researchers as well as practitioners.
